Things to See and Do in the Scottish Borders

Crosslaw Caravan Park is located adjacent to the delightful village of Coldingham. The area in general has an abundance of things to see and do in and around the surrounding region. Coldingham has a lovely beach, great for bathing, and set in an attractive bay with a beach café. A picturesque footpath along the cliffs takes you to the harbour, which in addition to providing a great photo opportunity is highly regarded amongst divers.

The fishing village of St. Abbs is nearby and a visit is essential to soak in the atmosphere of a traditional Scottish fishing village and also marvel at the clear waters out to sea. A Voluntary Marine Reserve was established in the village in 1984 by renowned naturalist David Bellamy and was the first of its kind in the country.

The larger fishing port of Eyemouth is the next step on the coastal journey, and celebrates its fishing heritage with an annual Herring Queen Festival. Bird watching, walking and leisure fishing are all celebrated activities enjoyed in the area.

Just 10 miles from Crosslaw Caravan Park is the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. The first point on the coast in England, Berwick-upon-Tweed has a wealth of historical sites, monuments, and castles detailing the long and often colourful history between Scotland and England. The town is also ideal for all your shopping requirements while in the area.

The Scottish Borders and Northumberland are mostly regarded for the range of outdoor activities the area thrives upon. Some of the best fishing, walking, cycling, hiking, beaches and water sports in the country are all within a short distance of Crosslaw Caravan Park.
